Hi Everyone
I'm very excited. The "Fall" release (should be "Spring" for us) of Design Team Cotton & Steel fabrics are in the shop. Both the designers and the fabrics were the "hit" of Market in Houston.
I bought most of the "Fall" releases, including several bolts of their cotton lawn fabric. I just loved the feel of this fabric. I saw these lawns made up in dresses and tunic tops, and in quilts.
I was a little concerned that they were too light for quilting, but I was assured they were fine. Liberty fabrics, which are a similar weight, are used in quilts all the time. The quilts I saw and felt in Houston were heavenly.
I have this strange urge to make a dress over the Christmas break. This is somewhat concerning as the last time I made an article of clothing was several decades ago; but there are so many great patterns around today, and I fell in love with the octopus fabric.
So I may be able to show you a dress after Christmas.
