Fussy Cut Friday 7

Hi everyone.

Spring is in the air and creativity levels are rising.  Time to start something new.  We may have just the thing....

WHAT'S NEW

The book has arrived.  To help you get started on this wonderful quilt we have made up some fabric Starter Kits.  All in Kaffe Fassett Shot Cottons, as recommended by the author, to replicate the look of the original quilt. The original quilt was made up in silk,

This Kit has eight half meter lengths of Shot Cottons.

The Deluxe Kit has 10 half meter lengths of Shot Cottons and six reels of Aurifil Ne 50 weight cottons to match.

These Kits were as close as we could get to the colours of the original quilt, shown on the cover of the book.  These Kits give you your base colours and you can add your own fabrics and style to this historic beauty.

Go to our web-site www.quiltsmith.com.au and you will find all these under the Section on Books-Antique Quilts.  You can ring the shop or drop in.  There are a limited number of these Kits.

THIS WEEK'S STARS

See you soon.

Fussy Cut Friday 6

Hi Everybody

THIS WEEK' STARS

A SPECIAL TREAT THIS WEEK

Janet and I challenged each other to use the same fat-quarter of fabric to see how many different six-point stars we could create.  The top photo is the fabric we chose.

Remember Janet's stars are 2" and mine are 1 1/4", so look at the difference in the patterns we came up with.

Why don't you  pick a fabric and challenge your friends to see how many six-point stars you can all create.  It's addictive and fun to see what happens.

Our fabric.

These are Janet's.

These are mine.

Margy
