Retreating

Hi Everyone

Last weekend we had our annual weekend retreat.  This year we headed up into the Blue Mountains to Blackheath.  It was not just nippy, but down right cold.  Heating and a wood fire and electric blankets were the go.  We were threatened with snow on the Friday night (I thought it a bit far fetched), it didn't snow it just felt like it should be.

I have just a whole lot of photos to show you the quilts and the lovely ladies at the retreat.

There were three of Bonnie Hunter's Easy Street Mystery quilts.  You can see how fabric selection changed this quilt.

We did a lot of this.

The Manager of the Red Leaf Resort, and I quote "This is the first group of quilting ladies that have sewn, it's normally shopping and drinking Chardonnay".  Well done us.  It is nice to get stuck in, not that shopping, Chardonnay and Shiraz were totally ignored.
