COME TRIP AROUND THE WORLD WITH US
We have latched on to the wave of 'Trip Around the World " quilts happening in the quilting blogsphere.
This is Marj's quilt under construction. Yum.
We are demonstrating Bonnie Hunter's quick piecing method in the shop. So pop in if you need a visual demonstration. You can see Bonnie's tutorial at www.quiltville.blogspot.com/2005/06/scrappy-trips-around-world.html (not sure why this isn't hyper-linking, but well worth taking a look at).
This is a true scrap buster. Using 2 1/2" strips its suitable for Jelly Rolls and your stash. However, as we all know, you always need something new to add into your scraps. So we have created the Quiltsmith "Lolly Tray" where we have stripped a wide selection of our Funky Fabrics into 2 1/2" strips. You can pick your own. Cost wise these strips are comparable to Jelly Rolls but you have the choice.
SARAH'S REVIVAL
This is my first look at the blocks, of our Sarah's Revival Block of the Month, made up. Well done Elizabeth they are beautiful. I love this BOM designed by Sue Garmon. I really enjoyed choosing all the red fabrics for this quilt.
We are still selling this Block of the Month.
CLASS ACTION
This happened in a Karen Cunningham class this week.
Here's Val Moore's class
This is Lynne Alchin's Chesterfield quilt, being put together in Val's class.
STAFFERS
Janet has completed the bulk of her blocks for Barbara Brackman's current block-of -the week. She threw them up to see how they look. Pretty good in my opinion. This is a lovely use of William Morris fabrics.
