Cotton & Steel Fall Release Arrives - Christmas Break Dates

Hi Everyone

I'm very excited.  The "Fall" release (should be "Spring" for us) of  Design Team Cotton & Steel fabrics are in the shop.  Both the designers and the fabrics were the "hit" of  Market in Houston.

I bought most of the "Fall" releases, including several bolts of their cotton lawn fabric.  I just loved the feel of this fabric.  I saw these lawns made up in dresses and tunic tops, and in quilts.

I was a little concerned that they were too light for quilting, but I was assured they were fine.  Liberty fabrics, which are a similar weight, are used in quilts all the time.  The quilts I saw and felt in Houston were heavenly.

I have this strange urge to make a dress over the Christmas break.  This is somewhat concerning as the last time I made an article of clothing was several decades ago; but there are so many great patterns around today, and I fell in love with the octopus fabric.

So I may be able to show you a dress after Christmas.

Fussy Cut Friday 19

HI Everyone

Hot and steamy in Sydney.  Just getting this out before the next big storm hits.  It's so nice in the shop with the air-conditioning on, I don't want to go home to my hot house.

Don't forget we have Gift Vouchers, for the perfect Christmas present, for yourself,  for a friend, or for your partner (if they need a bit of steering with what to buy you for Christmas).
